Player Eligibility

In partnership with Roanoke City Parks and Recreation Youth Athletics, there are 4 Roanoke City Regional Recreational Clubs that provide recreational teams for players that reside in Roanoke City. Your Roanoke City Club Region is determined by what City Elementary School would serve your residential address.

Youth Basketball

Roanoke’s youth basketball league typically starts in November with practices, depending on your recreation club, and games start in January.

AGE DIVISIONS

(Ages are determined on October 1st of current year)

  • Instructional – Five (5) and Six (6) Year Olds
  • Biddy – Seven (7) and Eight (8) Year Olds
  • PeeWee – Nine (9) and Ten (10) Year Olds
  • Little – Eleven (11) and Twelve (12) Year Olds
  • Junior – Thirteen (13), Fourteen (14), and Fifteen (15) Year Olds
  • Senior – Sixteen (16), Seventeen (17) and Eighteen (18) Year Olds
    *Eighteen year-old players must also still be enrolled in high school*
